FITZCARALDO. Fitzcaraldo by werner herzog is one of the greatest films of all time, The story of a man mad with his love for opera sets off to make a fortune in the amazon to bring opera to his remote city of Iquitos and to do so he must hoist a steamship over a mountian. Much like the afformentiond aguirre and the wrath of god it delves into the mandness of the amazon and the ezstatic heights of power and gold

Aguirre and the wrath of god. First time ive seen a werner herzog film The cinimatography is amazing it is as if its a documentry more than a narritive film, The voiceover adds to this effect making it feel far more realistic almost as if its drawing you into the films dark and chaotic retelling of heart of darkness. Werner is able to portray the fear of the unknown and edge of the world in such a way as if you could smell the petrichor and fear of the jungle yourself.
I belive a fitzcoraldo watch may be soon^^

No country for old men id give it a 7/10 great aesthetics and look but hard to follow the plot sometiems if u look away
